A little bit about me
Working at the intersection of education and technology.
Working at the intersection of education and technology.
Over 28 years, my passion has been in innovation at the intersection of education, curriculum, and technology. I began my career in academic publishing, where for eighteen years I worked at Pearson and then Ascend Learning, in which I helped drive research and develop new educational technologies and learning applications. More recently, I co-founded and served as Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer for Acrobatiq, an adaptive learning start-up by Carnegie Mellon University later acquired by the Ingram Content Group.
Today, I am Senior Program Officer for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. At the Foundation, my work focuses on developing and implementing high-quality, affordable digital learning solutions proven to help students learn more efficiently. My focus is working with partners at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to help increase the number of students achieving a high-quality postsecondary credential, particularly for low-income students and students of color.
